HOW WHERESPET WORKS

Wherespet product (device and website) was designed as a way of increasing the probability of people finding their lost pets.

By making a request through the mobile apps, or web platform, the user has access to, the device will reply with its GPS position.

TECHNOLOGY LIMITATIONS

The technology is not perfect and has limitations that may render it inneffective under certain conditions:

1 - Although resistant, the device can get damaged by impact, temperature, humidity or other physical events, therefore ceasing to work.

2 - The device may be located somewhere where there's no network coverage provided by a mobile carrier. Communication with the device will not happen under such conditions.

3 - The device may be located somewhere where GPS signal is not strong enough to get a location fix.

4 - GPS location of the pet will typically have an accuracy between 5 and 25 meters.

5 - This system is not effective in case the pet is stolen. The thief is likely to throw away the easily identifiable device first.

DATA CONFIDENTIALITY

Wherespet device is capable of transmitting to Wherespet servers its approximate location, as well as listen through a microphone nearby sounds. In no situation will Wherespet company ever use those capabilities without being requested by the Client.

In no event shall our company be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special consequential damages, to property or life, whatsoever arising out of or connected with the misuse of our products.

User accepts the technology is limited (as mentioned in section TECHNOLOGY LIMITATIONS) in its application and agrees that our company cannot be liable if the missing pet is not found.

WARRANTY

Wherespet devices have a 1 year warranty for regular use (unless otherwise specified by the law of country where it is sold). Devices are meant to be used with pets that send most of their time either at home or contained within the limits of a private yard.
Warranty does not extend to irregular use, such as use that may put pets in dangerous situations and which includes, but not limited to, hunting activities or purposely leaving pets in public spaces without supervision.
Warranty covers only possible defects from manufacturing and not damage caused by misuse, humidity, temperature or impacts.
Lithium battery performance has a 6 month warranty.
If a device is sent for warranty technical review but is either working properly or showing damage that is outside of the warranty's scope, the client may be billed for its return. Specifically, return shipping costs plus a 5 eur administration fee.

By using Wherespet technology, I hereby declare to have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions for using the product.
